How can I purchase tickets for The Great British Tea Bus?
Tickets can be purchased through our website or by phone at 020 3838 1596.
Is advance booking required?
Yes, advance booking is essential to secure your preferred date and time.
Can I sit on the top deck?
Seats are allocated on a first booked, first served and boarded basis.
Do you offer Gift Vouchers?
Yes we do – they are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. You can buy gift vouchers on our website or phone 020 3838 1596.
Tour Details
What are the tour times?
Tours depart at 12:30 pm and 3.30 pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Additional times may be available during peak seasons; please check our schedule for the most up-to-date information.
How long does the tour last?
Each tour lasts approximately 90 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Where does the tour depart from?
Bus stop 40B on the Embankment (Post Code WC2N 6PB), close to the London Underground station and Embankment Cafe. The closest tube station is Embankment, railway station is Charing Cross. View location here.
Onboard Experience
Is there a toilet on board?
No, there are no toilet facilities on the bus. We recommend using the facilities at Charing Cross Station before boarding.
Do you offer dietary options?
Please let us know in advance if you require a vegetarian menu. We do not offer a vegan or gluten free menu at this current time.
Are children allowed on the tour?
Children over the age of 4 are welcome on the bus but must be accompanied by an adult.
Is the bus wheelchair accessible?
London’s iconic Routemasters were first designed over 60 years ago when transport priorities were different, and accessibility was not the concern it is today. We are sorry our buses are not accessible to wheelchairs.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations or amendments can be made up to 24 hours before departure without a fee. After this period, a 100% fee applies.
Is alcohol served on board?
Alcoholic drinks are not served on this tour.
Can I bring luggage or a pram on board?
As our buses date from the 1960s we have no storage for any luggage, buggies or prams on the bus.
